ACFT Calculator – Instantly Calculate Your Army Combat Fitness Test Score

Use our ACFT Calculator to easily compute your Army Combat Fitness Test score based on the most recent official scoring standards. Whether you’re preparing for the test or tracking your progress, this tool provides a fast and accurate score estimate.

What Is the ACFT?

The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the U.S. Army’s official fitness assessment designed to evaluate the physical readiness of Soldiers for combat-related tasks. It has replaced the previous Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) and reflects modern military demands.

The ACFT evaluates six key physical performance areas and now uses a pass/fail scoring system with adjustments based on age and gender. The test also supports alternate aerobic events for Soldiers with permanent profiles.

ACFT Events Overview

The test includes six events that assess strength, power, endurance, and agility:

  1. Three-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL)
  2. Standing Power Throw (SPT)
  3. Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRP)
  4. Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC)
  5. Plank Hold (PLK)
  6. Two-Mile Run (2MR)

Note: The Leg Tuck was removed from the ACFT as of April 2022 and replaced by the Plank Hold to evaluate core strength.

Alternate Events for Profiles

Soldiers on permanent profiles may be eligible to perform one of the following alternate aerobic events:

  • 2.5-mile walk
  • 12-kilometer stationary bike
  • 1-kilometer swim
  • 5-kilometer row

Soldiers on temporary profiles are expected to fully recover before retaking the standard ACFT events.

How the ACFT Is Scored

Each ACFT event is scored from 0 to 100 points, with a minimum passing score of 60 points per event. The highest possible total score is 600 points. Soldiers must pass all six events individually—failing one results in an overall test failure.

To calculate your ACFT score:

  1. Complete each event.
  2. Use the latest ACFT score chart to find your point value based on performance.
  3. Add the points from all six events for your total ACFT score.

Scores are officially recorded using DA Form 705 (Army Combat Fitness Test Scorecard).

Impact of Failing the ACFT

A failed ACFT can have serious career consequences:

  • You may be flagged and become ineligible for promotions or favorable actions.
  • You can be removed from military education programs.
  • Failing the test twice consecutively may result in administrative separation at the discretion of your command.

ACFT Score Charts by Gender & Age

The ACFT scoring scales are broken down by event, age group, and gender. Each event has defined thresholds for both minimum (60 points) and maximum (100 points) scores.

Example:
Male, Age 22–26, Deadlift (MDL):

  • 100 points = 340 lbs
  • 60 points = 140 lbs

Female, Age 22–26, Plank (PLK):

  • 100 points = 3:35 minutes
  • 60 points = 1:25 minutes

Refer to the full ACFT scoring scale below to see how your performance translates into points for your specific age and gender group.

ACFT Implementation Timeline

The revised ACFT was rolled out in phases:

  • April 2022: Diagnostic testing began for all Soldiers.
  • October 2022: The Regular Army and Army Reserve started record testing.
  • April 2023: The National Guard (Reserve Component) began record testing.

Frequency Requirements:

  • Regular Army/Army Reserve: 2 record tests per year (at least 4 months apart)
  • National Guard: 1 record test per year (at least 8 months apart)
